Easter is regarded as the most important of holy days by Christians, and in Norfolk Island it is celebrated with two holidays on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

The date of the holiday changes each year based on the centuries-old calculations that determine the Christian Ecclesiastical Calendar, such that the date of Easter Sunday can be anytime between 22 March and 25 April.
Norfolk Island, as an Australian South Pacific territory, celebrates most of the same holidays as does Australia. Easter is no exception.
Aside from church services, family Easter events, egg hunts, and the run of the mill Easter traditions, many also head to the island’s sandy shores for swimming, sunning, and water sports this time of year before the Autumn weather ends and winter closes in.
Additionally, Easter Weekend is a great chance to go on a picnic, hike the island’s 100-acre nature reserve, or visit the landmarks of the Kingston Historical Area.
