Memorial Day 2024, 2025 and 2026 in Guam
As a US territory, Guam holds to the same holidays’ calendar as the mainland USA. It is very common for residents of Guam to join the US military, and it is not uncommon for a military family to lose a loved in the line of duty. This tends to increase the importance of Memorial Day in the eyes of many in Guam.

On Memorial Day, observed on the last Monday of every May, an annual Memorial Day Commemorative Service takes place at the Guam Veterans Cemetery in the town of Piti. Large floral wreaths are put on display and then presented to worthy families. It is a solemn time and yet one that people can be proud of.
Another major aspect of Memorial Day in Guam is the three-day weekend that most get off from work or school. They use this to spend extra time with friends and family and indulge in a delicious backyard barbecue.
