Labour Day 2025, 2026 and 2027 in Cambodia
Labour Day in Cambodia is celebrated every 1 May, as it is in much of the rest of the world. This is a holiday to celebrate the contributions of workers to the economy and society, and also a time to highlight where progress still needs to be made towards fair and safe working conditions.

Cambodia was once a Communist state, and as such, International Labour Day was considered an important public holiday. It still is today under a free economy, but the principles of free labour and workers’ rights held today give the holiday a new character.
In Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital, there is an annual Labour Day march. Some events may take place at Freedom Park far from the city centre, but others will crowd the downtown areas despite occasional limitations from the city government.
