International Women’s Day 2025, 2026 and 2027 in Cambodia
International Women’s Day in Cambodia is held every 8 March to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It is also a day used to highlight ongoing gender inequality and to call for further change.

In Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital city, there is normally a good deal of hustle and bustle every eighth day of March. You will see many organisations taking part in marches and protests for International Women’s Day.
Banners will be held high, with such slogans printed on them as: End Violence Against Women, Stop Sex Trafficking, and Strength of Cambodian Women. Many will attend special festivals and events with an artistic, cultural, or political twist to them. Others may spend the day with family and friends, shopping, or enjoying the beautiful spring weather.
Additionally, it is often customary to give flowers or a small gift to “the women in your life”, be it to a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, or co-worker.
